The Golden Malabar Civet Rehabilitation Centre, with strong support from the Indonesian government, is dedicated to the care and conservation of civets. The centre currently cares for 87 civets, while more than 100 wild civets inhabit the surrounding natural environment.
To ensure the health and well-being of the civets, fruits provided at the centre—including bananas, papayas, apples, and other fruits—are carefully inspected and tested. The civets also receive regular health check-ups, along with Vitamin C and honey supplements, to ensure that each civet receives balanced nutrition and proper care.
Through ongoing rehabilitation and conservation efforts, Golden Malabar is committed to maintaining a healthy civet population while protecting the precious natural ecosystem of Mount Malabar.
