A Unique Natural Enviroment
Golden Malabar is blessed with an exceptional natural environment, surrounded by more than 7,000 hectares of expansive tea plantations. The area is located near geothermal activity and belongs to a young volcanic region formed within the past 8 million years, with naturally low levels of heavy metals in the soil.
High Elevation & Significant Temperature Variation
Coffee trees are cultivated at elevations ranging from 1,511 to 2,313 metres, with an average elevation of approximately 1,800 metres. The significant difference between day and night temperatures allows the coffee cherries to mature slowly, naturally extending their development period and resulting in larger, sweeter, and more aromatic cherries—ideal conditions for Arabica coffee.
Traditional Cultivation
The coffee trees are traditionally cultivated under a natural shade canopy of poplar and cinnamon trees, supporting biodiversity while helping to protect the soil and maintain the natural water balance of the plantation.
